Before the wedding
The big day
The first step to having me as you Live Wedding Painter, is for you to make an enquiry. There is a form for you to provide your wedding date so that I can check availability. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours at the most.
Next we will arrange a consultation call, where we can discuss your vision for the painting and ensure that we are a good fit.
Once we decide to go ahead, you can secure your booking with a 20% initial investment.
All bookings must be made no later than 4 weeks in advance of the wedding date.
On the big day, I will arrive 1-2 hours before the ceremony to set up and start planning the composition of your painting.
Depending on your timeline, I will take you for an exclusive photoshoot to get the reference we will use for the painting. This could also be done alongside the photographer if that works better with the timeline.
Once the reference is chosen, I will start sketching it out on to the canvas and begin painting.
By the end of the night I will have a mostly complete painting (depending on size), which I will show you before I leave. I will come and find you and your photographer/videographer if they are still there so that you can capture the moment.
After the wedding
I will bring the painting back to my studio and continue to work on it until its finished. I’ll add in the final details and make any refinements before finally applying the varnish.
This can take up to six weeks depending on the size of the painting and my workload.
Once complete, I will either send you the finished painting, or hand deliver it depending on your location.

I also offer painting only packages where I work from a wedding photo after your wedding. These start at €1500.
It All Starts With Your Vision For Your Big Day...
Step 1: Initial Consultation
We’ll kick things off with a relaxed chat to talk about your wedding plans and what you hope for your special day. We’ll explore which package would best fit your wedding and see if we are a good fit for eachother.
Step 2: Final Booking
Once you decide to go ahead and book, your booking will be secured with a 10% deposit and agreement form, with a payment plan set up as required.
Step 3: Collaboration Session
Approximately 12 weeks before your wedding day, we’ll get in to the specifics of what you want for your painting and the logisitcs of how things will work on the day. We’ll plan everything so that I work within your timeline and things run smoothly on the day.
Step 4: Wedding Day Mini Photoshoot
On the day of your wedding you can’t be expected to sit still and pose for a painting, so I will capture a reference photo. If it fits your timeline (and depending on the scene for the painting) we’ll schedule a short 10-15 minute photoshoot at a pre-decided location to capture the reference. If this is not suitable for your timeline, we’ll plan an alternative ahead of time.
Step 5: Wedding Day Live Painting
I’ll typically arrive early to scope out the venue and set up my equipment. Once the reference photo is captured I will work right through your day until the evening, when we’ll have the big reveal. All through the day I will paint and engage with your guests.
Step 6: Studio Painting
After the wedding the painting will come back to the studio with me for finishing and final touches. It will get all the time it needs to be of the highest standard when finished.
Step 7: Final Piece Delivery
Once completed, the final painting will be framed and delivered to your door, ready for hanging in pride of place!

With my exclusive commitment to no more than 20 weddings per year, securing your date early is essential. Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should we book you?
I normally recommend that you contact me at least six months before your wedding date as I limit my bookings to a maximum of 30 per year. The latest you can book me (if available) is six weeks before your wedding date.
Do you travel?
Yes, I am available to travel to your venue across the Ireland of Ireland. The first 50km outside of Dublin are included in your package. Please be advised that extra fees apply for travelling distances further than this, but this would all be discussed and clarified in advance of you booking with me.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plans are available to help spread the cost. Final payments need to be made no later than 30 days before the wedding date.
What do I need to do to secure my booking?
To secure you booking I require a 10% deposit and a signed agreement form. I regret that I am unable to hold or reserve dates.
Can you include additional guests in the painting?
I specialise in intimate paintings which focus on the happy couple, so generally I don’t like to include additional people. Though I never say never. I am happy to discuss your vision with you to see how I can accommodate.
I've already had my wedding, can I still order a painting?
Yes of course, I offer a painting only packages depending on my availability. I can work from one of your professional wedding photos to create your painting.
Can I book you as a surprise gift?
Of course! Live painting makes a fantastic surprise gift. I can discuss with you how we would make this work ahead of booking. However please note that some venues may not accommodate surprises and may insist one of the couple know in advance. You may wish to contact the venue before reaching out to me.
Will my painting be finished on the wedding day?
My style is quite detailed, so get get the best possible finish it will require studio time after the wedding. My goal for the night is to have a mostly complete painting with the most detail focused on you and your partner. The rest of the detail and the finishing touches will be completed in the studio.
What materials do you use?
I work in professional quality acrylics on canvas. Acrylics have the same vibrancy and lightfastness (i.e they last as long without fading) as oil paints. I use acrylic because it is fast drying, which is helpful building up the many layers required to get my signature realism, and it means having no toxic solvents in my studio.
