Portmarnock Wedding Showcase 06/10/24 Competition Terms and Conditions
Competition is only open to residents of Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Only one entry per person is permitted.
Entrants must provide a valid email address.
Entries will close at 10pm on Sunday 6th October 2024.
Draw will take place on Monday 7th October 2024. Winner will be notified by email.
Winner must provide a good quality reference photo.
The winning portrait will be of the winner and their partner only, with background elements. No additional persons will be included.
The winning portrait will be size A4 and come with a basic frame.
Kyle Hargreaves, Wedding Painter Ireland reserves the right to use the finished portrait in marketing materials, including social media posts.
Prize must be claimed via email response no later than Saturday 30th November 2024. Failure to claim before this time will result in forfeit of the prize.
Completion of the portrait may take up to 12 weeks from reference approval, depending on work load.
RDS Wedding Show Competition Terms and Conditions
Value of prize is €350.
Competition is only open to residents of Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Draw is scheduled to take place on the evening of Sunday 26th January 2025, however please note this may change. Winner will be notified by email.
Winner must provide a good quality reference photo, which must be mutually approved before commencement of the painting.
The winning portrait will be of the winner and their partner only, with background elements. No additional persons will be included. There is no live painting element to this prize.
The winning portrait will be size A4 and come with a basic frame.

General Terms and Conditions
Live Wedding Painting
- Booking and Payment
1.1 Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed agreement and payment of the initial deposit.
1.2 Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total fee is required to secure the booking. The deposit will be applied towards the final balance.
1.3 Final Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the wedding date. If the balance is not paid by the due date, the Artist reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
1.4 Methods of Payment: Payments can be made via card, SumUp, Stripe or bank transfer. Payments can be made in full or in three installments. Installment payments are subject to an additional 2% per transaction to cover bank fees.
- Cancellation and Refunds
2.1 Cancellation by Client: If the Client cancels the booking, the initial deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the wedding date will result in the loss of all payments made up to that point.
2.2 Cancellation by Artist: The Artist reserves the right to cancel the booking due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Client will be offered a full refund, including the deposit, or the option to change to a Painting Only package. In the instance of a package change in these circumstances, any fees already paid over the cost of the chosen new package will be refunded.
- Safety and Conduct
3.1 Safety Clause: The Artist reserves the right to terminate the service and leave the event immediately if they feel unsafe, threatened, or harassed in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, physical, verbal, or emotional abuse by the Client, guests, or other individuals present at the event.
3.2 Refunds for Early Termination: In the event that the Artist terminates the service due to safety concerns, no refund will be provided, and the Client will be liable for the full payment. The final Painting will still be completed and delivered.
3.3 Client Responsibility: The Client is responsible for ensuring a safe and respectful environment for the Artist at all times. The Client will inform their guests, venue and other suppliers of the Artist’s presence and request that they cooperate with the Artist during the event.
- Artwork and Creative Process
4.1 Artistic License: The Artist retains full creative control over the painting, including the style, composition, and interpretation of the scene. The Client acknowledges that the painting is a work of art and may differ from photographs or other visual representations.
4.2 Completion and Delivery: The final painting will not be fully completed during the event. It will be taken back to the studio for completion with allocated time based on the chosen package. The painting will be delivered to the Client within 6-12 weeks after the event, unless otherwise agreed upon.
4.3 Revisions: Any requests for revisions or alterations must be made within 7 days of receiving the painting. The Artist will accommodate reasonable requests, but reserves the right to refuse changes that significantly alter the original composition or style. The client will be liable for the return and any further postage costs.
- Intellectual Property
5.1 Reproduction and Use: The Artist reserves the right to use images of the painting for promotional purposes, including on social media, websites, and marketing materials.
- Liability and Indemnification
6.1 Liability: The Artist is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury that occurs during the event, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. The Client is responsible for ensuring that the venue is safe and suitable for the Artist’s work.
6.2 Indemnification: The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Artist from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the Client’s breach of this Agreement or the actions of the Client or their guests.
- Force Majeure
7.1 Force Majeure: The Artist is not liable for any failure or delay in performing services due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
7.2 Rescheduling: In the event of a force majeure, the Client may reschedule the service for a mutually agreed-upon date without penalty.
- Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts.
- Amendments
The Artist reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Client in writing.
